If you have been convicted of a serious drink or drug driving offense, the DVLA may classify you as a High Risk Offender.
To regain your driving license after your disqualification expires, you must satisfy the DVLA of your fitness to drive. This requires attending a mandatory, independent medical examination with a DVLA-appointed doctor.
Procedure and Assessment
The required assessment includes the following steps:
Medical Examination
CDT Blood Test and Urinalysis
Completion of a Questionnaire and any other tests the doctor deems necessary to clarify your fitness.
